Something far more worring than what i discussed in my last post - is the coming general elections in India. Oh and what wonderful prospects we have to look forward to. Think Narendra Modi. The fellow is all set to come to power as the new PM if BJP wins. <gulp> . My former batch mates from engineering have been having a heated discussion on the prospect of if Modi would be a good fit for leading our nation for the next 5 years. Some of them argue that the current leadership isn't doing any good and that BJP under Modi would be a good thing. They point to how Modi has stimulated a lot of growth in the slumping Gujarat economy and turning the state around with a whopping 11% growth rate, which is far higher than any state in the country. If that is I can over look his massive miss management of the Godhra incident. The trouble is that things like the Mangalore pub incident will happen more often under lets say the Modi era not because Modi will organize it but because he might turn a blind eye to it or maybe even sympathize with it. I mean what ever my batch mates might tell me about about Modi being 'secular' he wont be able to disapprove of all the assholes who carry the Sena badge on them, because it is on that ticket that he came to power. Will be very difficult for him being a right wing Hindu leader. If he ever does take any stern action
People like the Sri Rama Sena(assholes) have the guts to do a ghastly act like beating up women and dismiss the incident saying
Whoever has done this has done a good job. Girls going to pubs is not acceptable. So, whatever the Sena members did was right. You are highlighting this small incident to malign the BJP government in the state (TOI)
just because they know that it is their govt in power in the state and that they might go home free just because they campaigned for the govt to get in power. Now the state govt will take action, at least to appease the masses but you have to remember the fellows have to go back to the Sri Rama Sena(assholes) later during elections to gather some vote and campaign for them. So they wont do the full deal of justice.
I am not against Modi per se. Nor am I against BJP. In fact I applaud the fact that they were the ones who did do some concrete things in the past (things like The Golden Quadrilateral, The Nuclear tests to name a few )All I'm saying is that which ever govt comes to power should have the balls to take fast and strict action against hoodlums of Sri Rama Sena(assholes), the Shiv Sena(retards), the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(shittards) and all the other fake fucking Senas out there from doing ghastly shit like this.
If the BJP were to chuck all this shitty baggage that they are carrying and clean up their act , which I suppose is a near impossible task for them to get done. They would be a good governing body for our country. But that will so not happen coz just like the US elected dubya to office twice as he was a right wing Christian with a stem cell grudge and gun pride, the majority voting population in India is the poor farmer who doesn't really care about what ever shit that is happening in major cities .. maybe not because he cares or maybe because he doesn't know - will vote for the sena gang !
